Description & Features

Designed for low-pressure coolant and high-temperature engine applications, the Eaton Industrial Hose FF90835-09 is a 90° elbow silicone hose rated to 40 PSI working pressure. Built to SAE J20 certification standards, it handles a minimum operating temperature of -65°F, making it well suited for demanding thermal environments where standard rubber hoses fall short.

Construction consists of a four-ply silicone tube and silicone cover reinforced with aramid fiber, providing structural integrity alongside a minimum bend radius of 6.5 inches. The conductive formulation meets grounding requirements common in engine compartment routing. The red silicone cover offers premium abrasion resistance and is marked via ink jet lay line for straightforward identification. Dash size -9 positions this hose within a broad range of coolant circuit configurations where high-temperature reliability is a primary requirement.

Question by: Freddie W on May 26, 2025, 1:33 PM
what's the lowest temp this hose can handle? running it through a pretty tight engine bay and winters get rough out here
Answer by: Customer Support on May 28, 2025, 7:52 AM
Rated down to -65°F minimum operating temperature, so cold weather alone shouldn't cause problems. The four-ply silicone construction holds up well where standard rubber hoses tend to get stiff and crack in extreme cold. Pair that with the 40 PSI working pressure rating and SAE J20 certification, and it's built for exactly the kind of demanding thermal swings you'd see in a hard-working engine compartment.
Question by: Howard M on Sep 7, 2025, 6:48 PM
got a tight coolant run, how sharp can you bend this -9 elbow hose before it starts kinking?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 9, 2025, 6:35 AM
For routing, the minimum bend radius is 6.5 inches. Keeping your bend at or above that radius helps the 4 ply silicone and aramid reinforcement hold shape without collapsing in a tight turn.
Question by: Bobby E on Jun 21, 2025, 10:09 AM
Will this hose hold up in an engine compartment where things get real hot?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 22, 2025, 4:41 PM
Rated to handle temperatures as low as -65°F, this hose is designed for high-temperature engine applications where standard rubber hoses might fail.
