Description & Features

Engineered for high-temperature coolant and low-pressure engine applications, the Eaton Hose SiliconeSaeJ20 Red FF90835-13 is a 4-ply silicone hose built to perform in demanding thermal environments. Both the tube and cover are silicone construction, offering rated working pressure of 40 PSI and a minimum operating temperature of -65°F. Aramid reinforcement provides structural integrity across the hose wall, while the red silicone cover delivers premium abrasion resistance suited to underhood conditions.

Certified to SAE J20, this -13 dash size hose carries a conductive rating and features a 6.5-inch minimum bend radius. The ink jet lay line style aids identification during installation. Its 90° elbow configuration suits tight routing geometries where straight fittings are not practical. Eaton's FF90835 Series is designed to consolidate hose selection across multiple fluid types, reducing the number of individual hose assemblies required in a given application.

Question by: Kurt R on Nov 30, 2025, 12:09 PM
got a tight spot by the radiator, is this the 90 degree red silicone hose meant for coolant lines?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 2, 2025, 6:31 AM
For tight routing, the 90° elbow shape is meant to help where a straight hose will not lay in clean. It is built for high temperature coolant and other low pressure engine applications, with a red silicone tube and cover and a 4 ply construction.
Question by: Gene G on Jun 1, 2025, 6:58 PM
What kind of operating temps can this hose handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 3, 2025, 6:09 AM
This hose is rated down to -65°F for those colder applications.
Question by: Patty D on Nov 13, 2025, 10:29 AM
does this hose hold up alright in real hot engine bays, or is it more of a mild-duty part?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 15, 2025, 7:09 AM
Silicone construction on both the tube and cover means it handles high-temperature underhood conditions without breaking down. The aramid reinforcement through the hose wall adds structural support, and the red silicone cover brings premium abrasion resistance for the kind of wear you see in tight engine bay routing. Working pressure is rated at 40 PSI, so it fits right in with coolant and low-pressure engine applications where heat is the bigger concern rather than pressure load.
