So this thing lets me take it apart and reuse it, right? How many times can it handle being reassembled without wearing out?

While these Aeroquip fittings are reusable to cut down on waste and assembly time, there isn't a specific number of reassemblies they are rated for. It really depends on the application, how carefully it's put together, and the condition of the threads each time. Just be sure to inspect it for wear before each use.
