BRAKEQUIP 1/4IN FEMALE -5/16IN MALE STRAIGHT PUSH CONNECT

Description & Features

Designed for quick, tool-free assembly, this straight push connect fitting from Brakequip transitions between a 1/4 in. female port and a 5/16 in. male connection in a single inline unit. The push-to-connect design allows tubing to be seated and secured without additional tooling, making it well suited for brake line and hydraulic fluid circuit assembly where speed and reliability matter.

The straight configuration keeps the connection path direct, minimizing bends and potential leak points in tight routing environments. As a Brakequip component, the BRAKEQUIP 1/4in Female - 5/16in Male Straight Push Connect is built to the fit and dimensional standards expected in professional automotive and light hydraulic service applications.

trying to hook a 1/4 female port up to 5/16 line, is this the straight push connect that does that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 4, 2025, 1:38 PM
For tying those two sizes together in a straight run, it’s a single inline push-to-connect fitting that transitions from a 1/4 in. female port to a 5/16 in. male connection.

Reckon this fitting would work for connecting brake lines without any special tools?

Push connect fittings I've used before sometimes need a special tool to lock the tubing in place. This one work without any of that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 23, 2025, 2:26 PM
No tooling needed at all. You just push the tubing into the fitting and it seats and locks on its own. That's kind of the whole point of the push-to-connect design, quick assembly without stopping to hunt down a tool. It's a real time saver when you're working through a brake line or hydraulic fluid circuit and need to keep things moving.
