how long does the battery last on this thing if I've got several sensors hooked up?

Running six sensors, you'll get about five hours on a full charge. The HPM5140-CAN-A runs on a 7.2V lithium-ion battery, so no messing around with AA packs or external power bricks in the field. If you're running fewer sensors, that draw goes down, but five hours at six channels is the rated figure to plan around.
