flow range on this one goes down to 8 L/min, is that the lower cutoff or just where accuracy starts to fall off?

For the CT300-CAN-B-B-6, 8 L/min is the bottom of the rated flow range, so that is where the meter is designed to operate reliably. Below that threshold, the turbine may not spin consistently enough to return dependable readings. The upper end tops out at 300 L/min, or 80 gpm if you are working in imperial. Accuracy across that range is rated at plus or minus 1% of full scale, which holds within the stated operating band rather than degrading gradually toward the low end.
