trying to step down a port size, is the FZ-1630 the reducer that goes from 1/4 npt female over to 3/8 npt male?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 18, 2026, 5:26 PM
For stepping between those two NPT sizes, the FZ-1630 is a reducer fitting with a 1/4 inch NPT female connection on one side and a 3/8 inch NPT male connection on the other.
Question by: Clint M on Mar 4, 2026, 3:03 PM
Got a system running 3/8" NPT male ports but my hose ends are all 1/4" female NPT. this fitting gonna bridge that gap at high pressure?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 6, 2026, 9:42 AM
That's what the FZ1630 is built for. It steps up from a 1/4" NPT female connection to a 3/8" NPT male, so it'll thread right into your 3/8" port and accept your 1/4" female line on the other end. Rated to 10,000 psi, so it holds up in demanding hydraulic setups without any concerns about pressure loss at the connection point.
