Hydraulic Pressure Gauge, 4.0 in. Face, Lower Mount, Glycerine Filled, 10,000 maximum psi

Description & Features

The ENERPAC 4-inch Hydraulic Pressure Gauge is engineered with precision for high force hydraulic applications. With a 4.0-inch face and a lower mount design this gauge efficiently measures pressures up to 10 000 psi. The glycerine filling ensures accurate stable readings by dampening pressure fluctuations. Suitable for heavy-duty environments it is a reliable component in industrial systems.

glycerine filled, does that actually make a difference on a high-pressure system or is it just a marketing thing?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 15, 2025, 6:48 AM
On high-pressure hydraulic setups, needle bounce is a real problem. The glycerine dampens those pressure spikes so the needle stays readable instead of jumping all over the place. At 10,000 psi you're going to see fluctuations, and without that fill you'd be guessing half the time. It's a functional feature, not a sales pitch.

need a gauge for a press line, does this one handle up to 10,000 psi without bouncing all over
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 25, 2026, 7:26 AM
For high force hydraulic work, the glycerine fill helps steady the needle by damping pressure fluctuations, and the gauge is rated to read up to 10,000 psi.

Reckon this'll hold up okay in a shop environment where it gets kinda dusty and maybe a little vibration from the machines?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 6, 2025, 6:35 AM
Glycerine filling helps dampen those pressure fluctuations, so it should provide more stable readings, even with some vibration. It's built for heavy-duty industrial use.
