Designed for pressing, production, and shop tool applications, this air-over-hydraulic compact foot pump delivers hands-free control with consistent output at up to 10,000 psi (700 bar). A three-position treadle with non-slip diamond plate texture allows safe advance, hold, and retract operation, and the pedal can be locked in the release position to reduce operator strain during extended use.

The Simplex GA-90 operates on 10 CFM at 60–150 psi (4.13–10.34 bar) inlet air and produces an oil flow rate of 11 in³/min (180 cm³/min) at rated pressure, with a usable oil capacity of 90 in³ (1,474.8 cm³). Compatible with single-acting tools, it features all-metal construction, rubber gasket seals, and an integrated non-spill vent with oil level indicator. Four non-skid rubber feet allow stationary mounting, and noise output is rated at 85 dBA at full pressure, suitable for in-house production environments. At 18.5 lbs (8.4 kg), it is portable without sacrificing durability.

running a small press in the shop, is this foot pump meant for steady work or just here and there use?

For pressing, production, and general shop tool work, it’s an intermittent portable pump. It’s built for foot-controlled operation with a 3-position treadle so you can advance, hold, or retract as needed.

Air over hydraulic confuses me a little -- so this thing runs off shop air to build hydraulic pressure? How much air does it need to keep up at full pressure?

Yeah, that's exactly how it works. Shop air drives the pneumatic side, which in turn builds hydraulic pressure up to 10,000 psi. To run it properly you'll need a supply delivering 10 CFM at somewhere between 60 and 150 PSI. Most shops with a decent compressor and a half-inch line won't have any trouble meeting that. Just make sure your air supply can keep up with demand if you're cycling it frequently.
