CONCENTRIC ROCKFORD INC brings you the GC Series Gear Pump, engineered for reliable performance under rugged conditions. This gear pump features a displacement of 0.39 cu in/rev and is equipped with a 4-bolt 1.78 in. pilot mounting flange.

Designed with cast iron bodies and hardened steel gears, this pump ensures superior volumetric efficiency and high mechanical efficiency. The 0.50 in. diameter x 1.50 in. extension shaft and SAE-10 side ports facilitate versatile installation.

Capable of a maximum speed of 4000 RPM and a minimum speed of 750 RPM, it operates bi-directionally and includes check valves. The maximum system temperature is 250deg;F with a pressure rating of 1600 PSI, supporting various industrial applications.

Among its features, the pump incorporates Viton high-pressure seals with an outboard ball bearing and needle bearing construction, ensuring long-life service. The rated flow is 3 GPM.

It uses a 4-bolt 1.78 in. pilot mounting flange and it comes with a 0.50 in. diameter shaft with a 1.50 in. extension.

pump's rated at 3 GPM and 1600 PSI, is that enough muscle for a mid-size log splitter or similar equipment runnin continuous cycles?

For a mid-size log splitter, those numbers line up pretty well. At 3 GPM and 1600 PSI, you've got enough flow and pressure to drive most standard single-stage splitter cylinders without pushing the pump past its limits. One thing worth keeping in mind is that the ratings on this unit are based on anti-wear hydraulic fluid at 200 SSU viscosity, so as long as your fluid matches up, you should get consistent output. The pump also handles speeds between 750 and 4000 RPM, so your prime mover has plenty of range to work within.
