GC8000 Series Remote Control DC Power Unit, 12VDC Single Terminal Std Duty Motor, .250" Gear Pump, 3 Quarts Reservoir

Description & Features

The GC8000 and GC8001 Series Power Units offer versatile configurations to meet industry-specific requirements. These units feature close-coupled DC motors with Oldham coupling for precise alignment, along with hardened and ground alloy-steel gears and shafts.

The precision needle bearings and high-strength, fine grain cast iron pump housings ensure durability. These units also include powder-coated drawn steel reservoirs with magnetic particle collectors and feature spring-loaded lip-type pump shaft seals.

Corrosion-resistant externally mounted valves and 100 mesh reinforced brass inlet strainers are standard. The cartridge-type check valves and externally adjustable relief valves offer robust performance.

CONCENTRIC Rockford Inc. has engineered these units with 40 micron dry element type breathers and options for horizontal mounting or vertical mounting with an optional breather elbow kit.

For 12VDC applications, the GC8000 Series Remote Control DC Power Unit, 12VDC Single Terminal Std Duty Motor, .250" Gear Pump, 3 Quarts Reservoir, supports efficient power management with a rated flow at 2000 PSI of 1.35 and at 500 PSI of 2.25.

Question by: Hugh C on Oct 8, 2025, 6:09 PM
got a single-acting cylinder i need to run from the cab, is this unit set up for remote control already or do i need to add a valve
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 10, 2025, 7:18 AM
For remote operation of a single acting cylinder, this GC8000 remote control power unit configuration uses solenoid valving so you can run it remotely without adding a separate directional valve.
Question by: Ronnie H on Feb 8, 2026, 1:31 PM
how long can you actually run this thing before you gotta shut it down? got a single acting cylinder application and don't wanna cook the motor
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 9, 2026, 6:34 PM
Runtime is pretty limited on this unit, so it's worth knowing upfront. With the .250" gear pump at 500 PSI, you get about one minute of run time within any five minute window. Drop it down to 2000 PSI and that window shrinks to half a minute before you need to let it cool off. It's built for intermittent duty, not continuous operation, so plan your cycle times around that and you'll keep the motor in good shape long term.
