Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Rusty R on Feb 15, 2026, 8:30 AM
What size is that female pipe thread on this gladhand?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 17, 2026, 7:46 AM
It's got a 1/2 inch female pipe thread, so it should fit standard connections.
Question by: Connie M on Dec 31, 2025, 7:47 AM
Does this gladhand use a half-inch female pipe thread, or do I need an adapter to hook it up to standard air brake lines?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 2, 2026, 6:32 AM
Half-inch female pipe thread is built right into it, so if your air brake line terminates with a half-inch male pipe fitting, you're connecting directly without any adapter in between. It also conforms to SAE J318, which is the standard most commercial and industrial air brake systems are built around, so fitment on compliant setups is straightforward.
