Question by: Pete R on Aug 5, 2025, 12:43 PM
Running this on a wellpoint system out in the field, temps get up there in the summer. Does the pressure rating drop off much when it gets hot?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 6, 2025, 5:52 PM
At 68 degrees F, you're looking at a max operating pressure of 85 PSI. Once you get up to 104 degrees F, that drops to 60 PSI. So yeah, there's a real difference when conditions heat up. Plan your system pressure accordingly if you're working through the warmer months, and you'll be in good shape.
Question by: Ricky G on Nov 25, 2025, 12:17 PM
need something for pulling water with a pump, not just pushing it. will this 1 inch green hose handle suction too?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 26, 2025, 1:23 PM
Built as a suction and discharge hose, it has a rigid thermoplastic helix in the PVC wall so it can handle vacuum service up to 28 in/Hg at 68°F (26 in/Hg at 104°F). That makes it a fit for pump suction and transfer jobs like irrigation lines, wellpoint systems, and general water movement.
Question by: Neil M on Dec 7, 2025, 9:00 AM
What kind of fittings work best with this green hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 8, 2025, 3:46 PM
Shank type fittings (aluminum, steel, brass, stainless steel) and cam & groove fittings (aluminum, polypropylene) are both good options for this hose. Preformed clamps are typically used to attach them, except on the 6 and 8 inch ID sizes.
