The Danfoss / Eaton Char-Lynn H Series Spool Geroler is engineered for specific industrial applications such as agricultural augers, harvesters, seeders, industrial sweepers, and floor polishers.

This motor features a 2 bolt mounting flange, complemented by a 22.6 cu in/rev displacement, ensuring dependable performance. It incorporates a 1 in. straight keyed shaft, which delivers robust and reliable torque transmission.

Equipped with 7/8-14 UNF-2B SAE O-ring ports, the compact yet powerful design is optimized for efficient fluid transfer. The maximum case pressure is rated at 1500 PSI, and the motor operates within a temperature range up to 180deg; F.

Extended bearing life and increased shaft seal integrity are critical aspects of this motor, making it suitable for demanding environments. A recommended break-in procedure ensures optimal longevity, while premium quality, anti-wear type hydraulic fluid is advised for usage.

Maximum fluid viscosity should be the highest of 100 SUS or (20 x PSI) / RPM = SUS at the operating temperature, while filtration should meet ISO Cleanliness Code level 18/13.

got a 2-bolt mount and a 1 inch keyed coupler on my auger drive. is this motor set up that way or am i gonna be fighting it

It comes with a 2 bolt mounting flange and a 1 in straight keyed shaft, so it matches that common 2 bolt, keyed-shaft setup. The ports are SAE O-ring style with 7/8-14 UNF-2B threads.

what kind of fluid does this motor need, and is there anything special about how you're supposed to break it in before putting it to work?

Premium quality anti-wear hydraulic fluid is what you want running through it. On the break-in side, run the motor for about an hour at roughly 30 percent of rated pressure before you load it up all the way. Make sure the motor is filled with fluid before any load gets applied. Skipping that step is how you cut bearing life short before the thing ever gets a real workout.

It’s set up with a 2 bolt mounting flange and a 1 in straight keyed shaft. The work ports are 7/8-14 UNF-2B SAE O-ring ports, so your hydraulic connections needs to match that thread and O-ring style.
