been running a combine header auger on an older motor that keeps eating seals, would this one hold up any better for that kind of duty?

Extended bearing life and improved shaft seals are both built into the H Series design, so yes, it should hold up better in that kind of repetitive, load-heavy application. The motor is rated for agricultural augers specifically, which means the sealing and bearing components are already engineered with that wear pattern in mind. Just make sure to run it for roughly an hour at about 30% of rated pressure before putting it to full load. That break-in period makes a real difference in long-term seal life.
