DANFOSS / EATON EPDM WATER SUCTION & DISCHARGE 3 1

Description & Features

The Boston by Danfoss / Eaton Otter Industrial Hose Water is designed specifically for efficient transfer of water pumping and suction and discharge of water and slurries. With a high-tensile synthetic textile and steel helix wire reinforcement it ensures durability in various industrial applications.

Constructed with a robust EPDM cover material the multi braid construction provides excellent abrasion resistance. The hose's black color and ink transfer lay line style further add to its practical design.

The minimum bend radius of 13.39 ensures flexibility while a temperature range starting from -40 ensures performance in extreme conditions. Qualified hose fittings include cam and groove as well as combination nipples for secure connections.

Industry leader since 1870 Danfoss emphasizes safety and reliability across its product lineup including this highly functional hose.

Question by: Gene E on Oct 5, 2025, 2:28 PM
So, this hose is EPDM, right? Does that hold up okay outside?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 7, 2025, 6:26 AM
EPDM is a solid choice for outdoor use because it handles weather and abrasion pretty well.
Question by: Shawn T on Apr 8, 2025, 8:44 AM
What kind of reinforcement does this hose have, and is it actually built to hold up for suction applications or just discharge?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 9, 2025, 5:50 PM
Both suction and discharge are fair game here. The hose uses a combination of high-tensile synthetic textile braid and a steel helix wire, which is what gives it the structural backbone to resist collapse under suction conditions. That steel helix is doing the heavy lifting on the suction side, keeping the hose from pulling inward when you've got negative pressure working against it. The multi braid construction also adds to its overall toughness, so it's not a one-trick discharge-only setup.
