Its innovative design includes a visual mechanical indicator that activates at 1 PSID during exhalation and reversible flow-through media that allows moisture to exit while regenerating its filtering capacity, preventing moisture from entering. This breather element is designed for easy installation and can be installed without tools using hand tightening only.
Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°F, this component is engineered for robust performance in demanding conditions. The H2O Gate breather creates a moisture barrier particularly effective when there is a minimum 5°F temperature difference between the reservoir and ambient air, and when at least a 10% air volume exchange occurs above the fluid level.

Got one of these installed on my hydraulic power unit but curious bout the 3UM rating - what exactly does that filter down to?

The 3UM rating means this breather filters particles down to 3 microns in size. That's pretty fine filtration that'll keep most dirt, dust, and small contaminants from getting into your hydraulic reservoir through the breathing process. When your system heats up and cools down, the reservoir needs to breathe, and this unit makes sure only clean air gets in while letting the dirty air escape through the gate mechanism.
