DIXON 1-1/4 MP 520-H SERIES INT EXP SCOV

Description & Features

The Dixon 1-1/4 MP 520-H Series Internal Expansion Scovill Coupling is engineered for secure connectivity in industrial settings. Its design incorporates a Scovill style permanent MNPT coupling ensuring precision and durability in demanding environments.

This coupling simplifies installation as no additional calibration or adjustment is required. The lack of a check valve highlights its reliability and its construction without color coding makes it versatile for various applications.

By omitting a switch connector and diode this component emphasizes mechanical strength. Additionally it is crafted without the necessity for a mandrel reducing complexity while enhancing usability.

got a 1-1/4 MNPT setup already. is this the kind of coupling that threads right on, or am I missing something?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 9, 2025, 6:41 AM
With the Scovill style permanent MNPT connection, it is meant to mate to an MNPT threaded setup in a 1-1/4 size. It is built as a permanent coupling, so it is focused on a secure threaded connection rather than a quick swap style.

No check valve on this thing, is that gonna be a problem for how I'm planning to use it, or is that just standard for this style of coupling?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 5, 2025, 9:24 PM
For Scovill style permanent couplings like this one, the absence of a check valve is completely normal and expected. These are built for fixed, permanent connections rather than quick-disconnect applications where a check valve would prevent fluid backflow during separation. If your setup doesn't require disconnection under pressure, you won't miss it one bit.
