Danfoss / Eaton HOT TAR PumpING

Description & Features

Designed for transferring hot tar and similar viscous petroleum-based materials, the Danfoss / Eaton Hot Tar Pumping hose is built for demanding industrial transfer applications. The nitrile tube provides strong resistance to oils and petroleum products, while the chlorinated polyethylene cover offers reliable protection in harsh working environments. A two-ply wire braid reinforcement supports structural integrity across the hose's operating range.

Rated to RMA Class A, this -16 dash size hose has a minimum bend radius of 12 inches and is rated for use down to -40°F. The pin-pricked, black chlorinated polyethylene cover aids in air bleed-out during assembly. Compatible with cam and groove as well as combination nipple fittings, it suits a range of connection configurations in industrial transfer setups. The ink transfer lay line makes field identification straightforward.

Question by: Kent G on Jan 22, 2026, 2:17 PM
Will this hose hold up if I'm pumpin' some pretty thick stuff through it on a regular basis?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 23, 2026, 9:53 PM
For transferring hot tar and similar viscous petroleum-based materials, this hose is definitely designed for the job. The nitrile tube is resistant to oils and petroleum, so you shouldn't have any problems there.
