The HE2000 Series Concentric AB BARNES Tube Kit. Steel. FO by Concentric Rockford Inc is engineered for optimal performance in industrial power units. Equipped with a steel reservoir offering 0.18 to 4 gallon usable volumes, it promises reliability.
Pressure-balanced W Series and fixed clearance GC Series gear pumps ensure efficiency and low noise. With DC operation, series and compound wound motors (12V and 24V) provide long service life and low power consumption. For AC operation, flanges accommodate standard high efficiency single or 3 phase motors (115V, 230V, and 460V).
Screw-in cartridge valves are available in multiple configurations (2-way/2-position, 3-way/2-position, 3-way/3-position, or 4-way/2-position). A high-performance cartridge check valve is standard. For fluid recommendations, most premium grade petroleum-based fluids are suitable, with an optimum operating viscosity range of 80-288 SSU.
The unit also features a built-in pressure-compensated flow regulator, allowing for pressure-compensated lowering speeds between 1 and 4 gpm regardless of load. Minimum recommended temperature for operation is -13deg;F, with a maximum of 175deg;F.
ISO 4406 Cleanliness level 18/14 or better is advised for filtration. Start switches include 12 VDC and 24 VDC options, as well as 1 & 3 PH, 115/230/460 VAC with high IP protection class and silver-plated contacts.

Question by: Shane H on Mar 10, 2026, 7:31 AM
got a HE2000 power unit here. are all the HE2000s the same adapter size, or do i need to measure before ordering this tube kit
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 12, 2026, 7:34 AM
The HE2000 series units are called out as using the same adapter size across the line, so this tube kit is intended to match that common HE2000 adapter size.
Question by: Roy A on Dec 15, 2025, 12:21 PM
what kind of hydraulic fluid works best for these he2000 units
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 16, 2025, 3:59 PM
Premium grade petroleum based fluids are the recommended choice. Optimum operating viscosity sits right between 80 and 288 SSU, though the system can handle a cold start viscosity up to 9000 SSU if needed.
Question by: Tony F on Feb 3, 2026, 8:18 AM
got an older HE2000 power unit and the tube kit on it is beat up. is this kit meant for fixing one up, or is it only for new builds?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 5, 2026, 7:33 AM
For HE2000 Series work, these kits are intended both ways. They can be used to repair or modify existing HE2000 Series power units, and they can also be used when you are putting together a custom HE2000 Series power unit.
Question by: Roy W on Mar 17, 2026, 9:23 AM
Will this kit work to fix up any HE2000 series power unit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 18, 2026, 9:42 AM
These kits can be used to repair or modify existing HE2000 Series power units, or to build custom ones, so yes. The Model Code is a useful tool for kit selection for custom units.
Question by: Tammy E on Feb 11, 2026, 11:56 AM
what all fluid types run okay in these HE2000 units, and is regular hydraulic oil gonna cut it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 12, 2026, 6:31 PM
Most premium grade petroleum-based hydraulic fluids work fine in these units. The optimum viscosity range runs 80 to 288 SSU, though the system can handle down to 66 SSU on the low end and up to 3600 SSU on the high end. Cold starts are permissible up to 9000 SSU. Standard premium hydraulic oil typically falls well within that range, so you should be in good shape as long as you're not running something off-spec or heavily contaminated. Keeping cleanliness at ISO 4406 level 18/14 or better is also recommended to protect the gear pumps and valves over time.
