The HE2000 Series BARNES HE2000 - Solenoid Release Valve A from Concentric Rockford Inc offers reliable performance for demanding industrial applications. It supports both DC (12 V and 24 V) and AC motors providing versatility and efficiency under varying power conditions.

Equipped with high-efficiency gear pumps the HE2000 Series ensures low-noise operation and exceptional efficiency with pressure-balanced W Series and fixed clearance GC Series options available.

The system features screw-in cartridge valves available in multiple configurations including 2-way/2-position to 4-way/2-position versions and high-performance cartridge check valves are standard. Additionally all units include pressure-compensated flow regulators for consistent lowering speeds despite load variations.

Reservoirs come in options ranging from translucent plastic with 0.13 to 1.05 gallon usable volume to steel reservoirs holding up to 4 gallons. The unit operates effectively with most premium grade petroleum-based fluids following recommended viscosity guidelines for optimal performance.

Start switches are available in various configurations and offer high IP protection class with silver-plated contacts guaranteeing long-term reliability. The recommended filtration level is ISO 4406 Cleanliness level 18/14 or better.

Will this work with just any premium petroleum based fluid, or are there certain ones I should stick to?

For optimal performance, it's best to stick within the 80-288 SSU viscosity range using a premium petroleum-based fluid. While it can handle fluids up to 3600 SSU, that's the maximum recommended. Cold starts can handle up to 9000 SSU.

got an HE2000 power unit im fixing up. is this Solenoid Release Valve A a repair kit part for that series or is it only for new builds?

For HE2000 Series power units, this Valve A part is meant to be used either way. It can be used to repair or modify an existing HE2000 unit, and it can also be used when building a custom HE2000 Series power unit.

running this off a 24 volt DC setup on a lift application, will the motor handle that without burning up on regular use?

Series and compound wound DC motors in the HE2000 are available in both 12V and 24V configurations, and they're built for efficiency with low power consumption and long service life. So a 24V DC setup is fully supported. Just keep fluid viscosity in the recommended range, 80 to 288 SSU for normal operation, and make sure your system stays within the -13°F to 175°F temperature window. Running clean fluid at ISO 4406 cleanliness level 18/14 or better will go a long way toward keeping that motor healthy over time.
