Designed to comply with ANSI specifications and ISO cleanliness standards the Vickers HF4RT1SD313SDBC05 in-tank return filter is a high-performance solution for mobile and industrial hydraulic systems. Its 9-inch element length combined with a 5-micron absolute-rated C-pak element ensures superior filtration efficiency.
Constructed with an aluminum head and cover and a carbon steel bowl the filter has a maximum operating pressure of 100 PSI and can operate in temperatures ranging from -25deg; F to 250deg;F. It is suitable for use with petroleum-based fluids and most water glycol oil-in-water and water-in-oil fluids with Buna-N seals as standard.
The filter head is designed with a secondary port that allows filtration of a second return line without additional fittings or can be used as a filtered fill port. It features an SAE-24 St.Thread port size and offers a rated flow of 50 GPM for the 9-inch element. Optional gauge and electrical switch options are available to monitor element loading. The filter's in-tank configuration minimizes space requirements and potential system leakage points.

filter says it handles petroleum fluids, what about water glycol mix? got a system running that type and trying to figure out if this'll hold up
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 22, 2026, 6:21 AM
Water glycol fluids are compatible with this filter when paired with the standard Buna-N seals it comes with. Same goes for oil-in-water and water-in-oil fluids. The one exception to watch for is synthetic fluids, those require upgrading to Viton seals, which are available as an option. Stick with petroleum-based or water-mix fluids and the standard configuration handles it fine.

i’ve got a return line setup and i’m tight on room in the tank, what’s the main benefit of this HF4RT in-tank style filter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 22, 2025, 5:31 PM
In a return line where space is at a premium, the in-tank layout helps keep the assembly compact and cuts down on potential external leak points since more of the filter is contained in the reservoir.
