what's the banjo style actually do different compared to a regular inline fitting on a brake line?

Fluid passes through a hollow bolt and the body of the fitting itself, which lets you make a connection at a fixed port without needing a straight run of line coming off it. In tight spots, like where a caliper sits close to other components, an inline fitting just won't lay right. The banjo setup solves that by letting the line exit at an angle without fighting for space.
