What exactly does a center support fitting do for brake lines, and is this the kind of thing you'd use during a full brake line replacement job?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 12, 2026, 6:09 AM
Mid-span anchoring is really what this fitting is all about. When you're routing brake lines through a vehicle, unsupported sections can shift, vibrate, and wear against surrounding components over time. The Brakequip HFC18 holds the line in position at those in-between points so it stays aligned and doesn't move around under normal service conditions. For a full brake line replacement, yeah, center supports like this are pretty standard hardware to have on hand, especially on longer runs where the line needs to be secured at multiple points along the way.
