BRAKEQUIP FITTING - FEMALE M12 X 1 - M20 X 1.5 (DPS)

Description & Features

Designed for brake line and hydraulic fitting applications, this female metric adapter connects an M12 x 1 thread to an M20 x 1.5 thread, making it suitable for bridging common metric thread sizes found in automotive and light industrial brake systems. The dual-pitch specification allows it to serve as a reliable transition fitting where differing thread standards meet within a single assembly.

The Brakequip Fitting - Female M12 x 1 - M20 x 1.5 (DPS) is manufactured under the Brakequip brand, a recognised name in brake and hydraulic line fittings. The DPS designation indicates compatibility within that fitting series. With a compact female-to-female configuration, it integrates cleanly into existing brake line assemblies without the need for additional adapters.

Got an M12 x 1 brake line coming out of a wheel cylinder and the hard line fitting on the other end is M20 x 1.5, this adapter supposed to bridge that gap?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 3, 2025, 8:33 AM
Yeah, that's exactly what it's built for. One side threads onto M12 x 1, the other connects to M20 x 1.5, so it handles that size difference right in the middle of the assembly without needing anything extra. The female-to-female setup means both ends accept male threaded fittings, which is the typical arrangement in brake line assemblies where two lines or a line and a component come together at different thread sizes. It's a Brakequip fitting, part of their DPS series, so it's meant to slot into that system cleanly.

got a brake line setup with two female ends, one’s M12x1 and the other side is M20x1.5. is this the right little adapter to tie em together?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 6, 2025, 6:40 AM
For connecting two different metric thread sizes in one brake or hydraulic line assembly, this fitting bridges a female M12 x 1 to a female M20 x 1.5, so it works as a transition between those two threads.
