Rated for continuous service up to 10,000 psi, this Rubber, Wire-braid Hydraulic Hose Assembly is built for demanding high-pressure hydraulic applications. The hose features a 0.25-inch inner diameter and a 6-foot working length, with 3/8 NPTF fittings on both ends and a plastic hose guard for added protection.

Construction consists of two braids of high-tensile steel wire reinforcement over a rubber core, with an oil- and weather-resistant outer covering. The assembly is Msha approved and complies with Mhi standard IJ100. Each unit ships complete with a coupler and dust cap.

rubber hose rated for 10,000 psi seems high, is that really the working pressure or just burst?

10,000 psi is the maximum operating pressure, not burst. Burst pressure on this assembly is rated at 20,000 psi, so there's a 2:1 safety margin built in. The hose itself is reinforced with two braids of high tensile steel wire, which is what gets it to that operating pressure rating. For most high-force hydraulic tool applications, that 10,000 psi working pressure is right in line with what the system demands.
