The HK Series Industrial Interchange Series B Dust Cap, -08 Coupling from Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) is designed for fluid transfer and hydraulic applications. This quality coupling is engineered to meet the rigorous dimensional standards of ISO 7241-1 Series B.

The design incorporates a self-sealing poppet valve, ensuring excellent sealing across high and low-pressure conditions. The standard seal material is Buna-N, with optional seals available in PTFE, Neoprene, FKM, EPDM, and Kalrezreg;. The temperature range varies by material, with Buna-N operational from -40deg;F to +250deg;F, Neoprene from -65deg;F to +212deg;F, EPDM up to +300deg;F, and FKM from -15deg;F to +400deg;F.

For enhanced reliability, PTFE backup rings are included in the female sockets. This dust cap is compatible with a -08 coupling size and is specified for female end gender with a 0.5-inch end size. No thread sealant is required, ensuring straightforward maintenance and use.

what seal material comes standard on these dust caps, and is there anything rated for higher temps if I need it?

Buna-N is the standard seal, which handles a range of negative 40 up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. If your application runs hotter than that, FKM seals are available and rated up to 400 degrees. EPDM is another option if you need something that can handle down to negative 65 on the cold end while still reaching 300 degrees on the high side. So there are a few paths depending on what you're dealing with.
