Question by: Denise H on Sep 7, 2025, 6:13 AM
got a 1/8-27 female npt port on my hose, is this the right male half quick disconnect to screw in?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 9, 2025, 8:43 AM
This male half uses 1/8-27 female NPTF threads, and it is a -02 coupling size. If your connection point is truly a 1/8-27 female NPT port, you would need a male NPT thread on the coupling, not a female NPTF.
Question by: Earl P on Apr 27, 2025, 8:12 AM
Will this work with different kinds of hydraulic fluids, or just certain ones?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 29, 2025, 6:32 AM
Its brass construction and stainless steel springs offer good corrosion resistance and fluid compatibility. The standard seal is Buna-N, but you can get it with PTFE, Neoprene, FKM, EPDM, and Kalrez seals for different fluids.
Question by: Darryl B on Jul 22, 2025, 9:35 PM
what seal material comes standard on these, and is it gonna hold up running hydraulic oil day in and day out?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 24, 2025, 6:47 AM
Buna-N is the standard seal, and it handles a temperature range of -40°F up to 250°F. For most hydraulic oil applications that fall within that range, it holds up well under regular use. If your fluid or operating temps push outside that window, there are other seal options available including Neoprene, EPDM, FKM, PTFE, and Kalrez, each rated for different temperature ranges depending on what you're running.
Question by: Gary W on Sep 15, 2025, 10:06 AM
trying to replace an old series b coupler, is this the right kind or is it some oddball style
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 16, 2025, 9:22 PM
For interchange, it follows ISO 7241-1 Series B dimensions, so it matches the common “Series B” style used across a lot of industrial couplers. It is a -02 size male half with 1/8-27 female NPTF threads on the pipe end, and the other side is push-to-connect.
