The HK Series Industrial Interchange Series B Brass Hydraulic Quick Disconnect Male Half -08 Coupling 1/2-14 Female NPT by Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) is engineered for diverse applications including agriculture fluid transfer transportation and aerospace. Featuring robust brass construction paired with stainless steel springs this coupling provides exceptional corrosion resistance and fluid compatibility.

Designed to meet ISO 7241-1 Series B dimensional requirements this hydraulic quick disconnect ensures reliable performance. The self-sealing poppet valves offer outstanding sealing capabilities across both high and low pressures.

Standard seal material is Buna-N and various seal options are available including PTFE Neoprene FKM EPDM and Kalrezreg;. The coupling operates effectively within a temperature range of -40deg;F to +250deg;F for Buna-N seals extending up to +400deg;F for FKM seals. Additionally its push-to-connect and NPTF end types allow for secure and efficient connections.

Maximum fluid loss during disconnection is limited to 3.50 cubic centimeters and air inclusion is restricted to 3.60 cubic centimeters. This model does not include a safety locking mechanism.

got a -08 hose setup already, does this plug end match up with the ISO 7241-1 Series B stuff?

What kinda fluids can I run through this thing without messin' up the seals?

Buna-N seals are standard, good for general use. But you've also got options like PTFE, Neoprene, FKM, EPDM, and Kalrez if you need something more specialized for different fluids or temps.

What kind of seal does this coupling come with standard, and can it handle something like hydraulic oil or maybe some chemical fluids if I swap the seal out?

Buna-N is the standard seal, which covers most hydraulic oils and general fluid transfer work just fine. If you're running something more aggressive like certain chemicals or need higher heat tolerance, there are other seal options available: PTFE, Neoprene, FKM, EPDM, and Kalrez. FKM pushes the upper temp limit all the way to 400 degrees F, so that's the go-to for hotter or more chemically demanding setups. Just make sure you match the seal material to whatever fluid you're running.
