The Eaton Aeroquip Hose Protective Fire Sleeve offers robust protection for hydraulic hose assemblies in high-temperature environments. Designed with a 0.81-inch inner diameter, this fire sleeve effectively shields hoses from extreme heat and potential flame exposure, ensuring operational integrity. Constructed from durable materials, it withstands challenging conditions, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
For optimal performance, the fire sleeve requires two FF9217-0622S clamps per hose assembly. Its compatibility with a wide range of fluids further enhances its versatility in various hydraulic systems. This product is especially beneficial in environments where fire resistance and thermal protection are critical, contributing to the longevity and safety of the hydraulic components it covers.

Reckon this fire sleeve can handle some serious heat? I'm usin' it near the engine, and it gets mighty toasty.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 23, 2025, 6:27 AM
That's what it's for. The Aeroquip Firesleeve is designed to protect hoses from high temperatures, preventin' damage and potential failures caused by engine heat or other hot environments.
Question by: Darryl H on Dec 22, 2025, 11:33 AM
got a hose assembly that runs real close to an exhaust manifold, will this sleeve actually hold up to that kind of direct heat exposure or does it need some air gap between it and the source?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 23, 2025, 1:34 PM
Silicone-coated fiberglass construction like what's used in this Aeroquip sleeve is built to handle sustained radiant and convective heat, including the kind that comes off exhaust manifolds and engine components. You don't need an air gap for the sleeve to function. It's meant to go right over the hose and sit in tight spaces where routing around a heat source isn't practical. Just make sure you're using two of the FF9217-0622S clamps per hose assembly to secure the ends properly so the sleeve stays in place and doesn't shift away from the area you need protected.
