Designed for hydraulic jacks and portable hydraulic rams, the Danfoss / Eaton Hansen Cplng is a male half quick disconnect coupling built for demanding hydraulic service. Constructed from carbon steel with Buna-N seals, it connects via a thread-to-connect end on one side and a 3/8 in. NPT port on the other, supporting flow rates up to 6 gallons per minute.

Part of the Hansen HP3 Series, this 2-way valve coupling exceeds ISO 16028 operating pressures and is rated for use down to -13°F. No special tools are required for connect or disconnect, making it well suited for field applications where quick fluid line changes are necessary. The male half configuration pairs with compatible female couplings in the HP3 Series lineup.

Got a portable hydraulic ram I'm trying to get set up out in the field. Does this coupling need any kind of special wrench or tool to hook it up and pull it off?

No tools needed at all. The HP3 Series uses a thread-to-connect design that lets you hook up and disconnect by hand. That's a big part of why it's popular for field work where you don't always have a full tool setup nearby. The 3/8 in. NPT port side does need to thread into your port during installation, but the connect and disconnect action on the coupling itself doesn't require anything extra.

got a 3/8 NPT port on my jack line. is this the right male quick coupler half for that?

For a 3/8 inch NPT port, this male half is set up to match. One side is a 3/8 inch NPT port connection, and the other side is the thread to connect style used on the HP3 Series quick disconnect.
