Question by: Janice T on Apr 8, 2025, 1:09 PM
got a stubborn bearing thats been press fit forever. is this puller actually strong enough to break it loose without the jaws slipping?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 9, 2025, 3:28 PM
Under load, the jaw mechanism tightens its grip as the pulling force increases, so it is built to hang on instead of walking off the part. Capacity is rated up to 15 tons, and it is meant for press-fitted components like bearings, bushings, gears, wheels, and pulleys.
Question by: Merle C on Jan 18, 2026, 9:11 AM
Does this puller work with both 2-jaw and 3-jaw setups, or are you locked into one configuration?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 20, 2026, 8:20 AM
You can run it either way. The Hydra Lock-Jaw is compatible with both 2 and 3-jaw configurations, so you've got flexibility depending on what you're pulling and how much surface you need to grab onto. That kind of adaptability comes in handy when you're working across different part types on the same job.
