Brass Inline Easy Read Flow Control Valve, Female 3/8-18 NPT Ports, Up to 10.00 GPM & 2000.00 PSI

Description & Features

The Brass Inline Easy Read Flow Control Valve, Female 3/8-18 NPT Ports, Up to 10.00 GPM & 2000.00 PSI is engineered for controlled flow in one direction and free flow in the opposite direction. It allows precise flow adjustment even under pressure, with a locking set screw for setting security.

Color coding and numerical readouts provide positive and repeatable settings, with accurate adjustments within a small fraction of a turn. This valve is suitable for pneumatic systems and lower pressure hydraulic systems, featuring a durable metal knob and stem.

Constructed from brass for body and needle, it operates efficiently within a temperature range of -15deg;F to 200deg;F. The valve incorporates Vitonreg; O-rings and Teflonreg; washer seals for enhanced durability.

Question by: Gary C on Oct 15, 2025, 6:48 PM
flow control on a brass valve like this -- does the setting actually hold once you got it where you want it, or does it drift around on you over time?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 17, 2025, 7:04 AM
Once you dial it in, the setting holds. There's a set screw built into the design that lets you lock the adjustment in place after you've got the flow where you need it. So if you're running a repeatable process and can't have that number creeping on you, just snug down the set screw and it stays put. The metal knob and stem are also a lot more durable than plastic alternatives, which helps keep things stable under regular use.
Question by: Ricky S on Jun 17, 2025, 6:30 PM
What's the deal with the color coding on this thing? What does it even mean?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 19, 2025, 8:01 AM
The color coding and numerical readouts are there to give you positive, precise, and repeatable settings. You can adjust it accurately within a small fraction of a turn, about one full turn per color.
Question by: Curt C on May 2, 2025, 3:28 PM
flow adjustment on this, can you actually change the setting while the system is still running under pressure, or do you have to shut it down first?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 4, 2025, 12:24 PM
You can make adjustments while the system is pressurized. The valve is built to allow flow changes under live pressure, which is a real convenience when you need to dial in a setting without taking the line down. Once you land on the right setting, the locking set screw holds it in place so it doesn't drift.
Question by: Glen D on Jul 30, 2025, 12:31 PM
trying to slow a cylinder down one way but let it come back fast, is that what this valve does?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 1, 2025, 9:44 AM
For that kind of motion control, it’s built to meter flow in one direction and allow free flow in the opposite direction. That lets you slow the actuator on the controlled stroke, then get an unrestricted return.

Tell us what you need and we'll get back to you.
