Description & Features

Designed for hydraulic systems requiring precise, adjustable flow management, the Steel Inline Flow Control Valve, Female 1/4-18 NPT Ports, Up to 3.00 GPM & 5000.00 PSI is rated for non-shock service up to 5,000 PSI and a maximum flow rate of 3.00 GPM. The steel body is suited to demanding hydraulic service, with a 416 stainless steel needle, Teflon® backup washer, and stainless steel retainer and ball for reliable, corrosion-resistant performance.

The valve allows controlled flow in one direction with free flow in the opposite direction. Flow adjustment can be made under pressure, and the setting is secured with a standard locknut. A tamperproof adjustment key is included as standard; a knurled aluminum knob is available as an option. Operating temperature range is -15°F to 200°F. Port size is 1/4-18 NPT female on both ends.

Got a small hydraulic press running 1/4 NPT fittings and need to dial in the feed rate without tearing into the system every time I adjust it. this valve gonna let me make changes while it's still under pressure?

Flow adjustments on this valve can be made while the system is pressurized, so you won't need to shut things down to dial in your feed rate. Once you get the setting where you want it, there's a locknut included to hold it in place. The tamperproof adjustment key comes standard, and if you'd rather have something easier to turn by hand, a knurled aluminum knob is available as an optional upgrade. Both ports are 1/4-18 NPT female, so it should thread right into a standard 1/4 NPT setup without adapters.

got a 1/4 npt line and need to slow a cylinder down one way but let it come back quick, is that what this valve does?

For that kind of setup, it fits the bill. It meters flow in one direction so you can slow the actuator, and it allows free flow in the opposite direction so return speed is not choked off.
