porting on this one is 7/16"-20UN #4 SAE ORB male, does that thread straight into a standard SAE ORB port without an adapter?

For most hydraulic manifolds and valve bodies with a standard #4 SAE ORB female port, yes, it threads right in without any adapter. The male ORB fitting uses an O-ring face seal, so you get a clean, leak-resistant connection as long as the mating port is cut to SAE spec. The FKM O-ring seal is already part of the sensor, so there's nothing extra to source.
