The 30-ton hydraulic puller from SPX Hydraulic Technologies provides the power needed for removing gears, bearings, and other press-fitted parts. This hydraulic puller includes the RT302 center-hole Power-Twin® cylinder and a hand pump.

It features a 1-1/4”– 7 x 24” large adjusting screw for precise control.

The hydraulic cylinder is removable for use with a pump in other hydraulic applications.

Does the hydraulic cylinder come off the puller frame, or is it fixed in place permanent?

Removable is exactly how it works. The cylinder detaches from the puller so you can run it with the included hand pump for other hydraulic jobs around the shop. That flexibility is one of the better features on this setup, keeps you from needing a separate standalone cylinder for different tasks.
