Question by: Larry S on Jul 3, 2025, 8:52 AM
got a hose with a -4 dash, is this 04Z-104 the right hose end for it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 5, 2025, 7:18 AM
For a -4 hose dash size, this hose end matches that size callout. The connection on the fitting side is a 0.25 male NPTF.
Question by: Troy P on Jul 28, 2025, 5:53 PM
Will this WeatherGRIP hose end hold up okay in a hydraulic system that sees some pretty good shocks from time to time?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 30, 2025, 12:01 PM
This hose end is definitely made for those kind of setups. It's designed to work with H277 or H435 hoses in systems where shock hazards are a concern, so it should be a good fit.
Question by: Todd R on Jan 11, 2026, 1:13 PM
got a -4 hose line runnin general hydraulics, nothing too wild pressure-wise. this the kind of fitting that'd hold up on that or is it more for heavier duty stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 13, 2026, 8:59 AM
For general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic work, this fitting sits right in its wheelhouse. The carbon steel construction paired with the Dura-Kote corrosion plating gives it solid staying power without being overkill for lighter-duty lines. The hose dash size is -4, so as long as your hose matches up and you're working in that low-to-medium pressure range, it should serve you well.
