The WeatherGRIP Z series hose end is optimized for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulics. Incorporating Dura-Kote plating this product provides outstanding corrosion resistance. The innovative design ensures performance and reliability particularly in applications where shock hazards are a concern such as with H277 or H435 hoses.
Engineered with a female FOR-SEAL end type and a line/hose/tube end type the hose end is built for durability and longevity. The hex size measures 0.81 fitting a hose dash size of -4. This versatile hose end is constructed from carbon steel delivering enhanced endurance and strength.
Certified by SAE J1176 the WeatherGRIP Z series hose end meets rigorous standards for safety and quality. It is not adjustable and does not include additional components such as check valves or electrical connectors. The product width is 0.93 inches making it a compact yet effective solution for demanding hydraulic requirements.

got a -4 hose build, will this 04Z-S66 end fit and what style is the connection?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 21, 2025, 12:16 PM
For a -4 hose assembly, this hose end matches that dash size and uses a female FOR-SEAL end type. It’s a fitting assembly made for line, hose, or tube connections, with a 0.81 hex.

What kind of pressures can this hose end handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 15, 2025, 6:01 AM
It's optimized for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications.
Question by: Kirk E on Apr 13, 2025, 8:37 PM
my buddy said these z series ends hold up real good in wet or rough conditions, is that on account of some kind of special coating or just the steel itself?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 15, 2025, 6:02 AM
Dura-Kote plating is what handles the corrosion resistance on this one. The carbon steel base gives it solid strength and durability, but the plating is the piece that makes it hold up where moisture and tough conditions are a regular part of the job. Together they make for a fitting that's built to last in environments where a plain steel end would start showing wear a lot sooner.
