Designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Hose End U Series fitting provides a reliable male NPT to hose end connection in carbon steel construction. The male threaded end measures 1/2 inch NPT, while the hose end accommodates a -8 dash size line with a 3/4 inch hex for straightforward installation and torqueing.
Suited for a broad range of hydraulic service environments, this fitting is rated for low and medium pressure duty. Where shock hazards are present, Eaton recommends using the H277 or H435 series instead. The carbon steel body provides solid durability for standard industrial hydraulic service, and the fitting assembly ships ready to install.

got a hose with a -8 end on it, will this fitting screw into a 1/2 NPT port or am i mixing stuff up
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 6, 2025, 9:39 AM
For fitment, it is a male 1/2 inch NPT (MPT) on one end and it’s made to take a -8 dash size hose connection on the other end.
Question by: Rusty R on May 15, 2025, 7:11 AM
Will this Eaton fitting hold up okay for regular hydraulic work, or is it just for light duty stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 17, 2025, 6:21 AM
This fitting is designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications, so it should be suitable for regular hydraulic work within those pressure ranges. If you're dealing with high shock situations, though, Eaton recommends their H277 or H435 series instead.
