got a -8 hose assembly running in a pretty rough environment, lots of vibration and occasional pressure spikes. will this fitting hold up or should I be looking at something else?

For straight vibration and general wear, this fitting handles -8 hose assemblies well in low and medium pressure hydraulic setups. That said, if you're seeing actual shock hazards in your system, Eaton Weatherhead recommends going with the H277 or H435 series instead. Shock conditions are specifically called out as outside the intended application range for this fitting, so that's worth factoring in before you commit.
