It's designed for general purpose hydraulic applications where you're dealing with low to medium pressure. If you've got shock hazards, use H277 or H435 hose.

Got a -8 hose assembly with a 90 degree turn and need something that won't rust out on me, does this fitting hold up in rough conditions?

It puts a corrosion-resistant finish on the carbon steel body, so moisture and general grime aren't going to eat through it the way they would on an uncoated piece.
