Question by: Duane R on Aug 19, 2025, 10:00 AM
fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose, does that mean it won't work on other hose types, or is that just where it's recommended?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 20, 2025, 5:22 PM
Those two hose types are specifically called out for situations where shock hazards are present. Outside of that condition, the fitting is rated for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic use, so the H277 and H435 callout is more about shock hazard suitability than a hard restriction on every possible application. If shock loading isn't a concern in your setup, the fitting covers standard low and medium pressure hydraulic service.

trying to swap out a fitting on a -10 hose, is this one the 5/8 BSPP female swivel end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 11, 2025, 2:43 PM
The key callouts are a 5/8 inch BSPP female swivel on one end and a -10 hose dash size. It is a permanent style Weatherhead fitting assembly, so it is meant to be crimped onto the hose rather than used as a reusable end.
Question by: Ralph M on Feb 25, 2026, 8:11 PM
So this fitting, it'll work for general hydraulic stuff, right? How 'bout if there's some bumping and banging going on?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 27, 2026, 8:49 AM
For general-purpose hydraulics at lower to medium pressure, this fitting is a good fit. When shock hazards are present, it's specifically designed to work with H277 or H435 hoses.
