What kind of hydraulic applications is this hose end good for? I work with all sorts of pressures.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 18, 2025, 8:56 AM
It's mainly suited for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulics. If you have shock hazards, especially with H277 or H435 hoses, this end will work well.
Question by: Roger G on Feb 28, 2026, 2:13 PM
got a -12 hose setup already, is this 12Z-612 the right size hose end for it
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 2, 2026, 7:40 AM
The hose dash size on this hose end is -12, so it is intended to be used on -12 hose assemblies.
Question by: Kirk S on Feb 18, 2026, 4:47 PM
What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have? Running equipment outdoors and rust has been killing us on hose ends.
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 19, 2026, 6:43 PM
Dura-Kote plating is what sets this one apart for outdoor and rough-condition use. It gives the carbon steel body a level of corrosion resistance that holds up better than standard zinc plating you'd find on basic hose ends. If moisture and exposure have been chewing through your fittings, this is built to outlast that kind of environment.
