got a setup running H277 hose and need a -12 fitting with male pipe thread on one end, this gonna work for that?

That's what this fitting is built for. The 12Z-J12 is a -12 hose dash size with a 3/4 inch MPT end, and it's rated for use with H277 hose. If your application also involves any risk of shock hazards, H277 is one of the two hoses specifically called out as compatible, so you're in good shape either way.
