Does this fitting work for regular hydraulic lines, or is it more of a specialty item? Got a medium pressure system and just want to make sure it ain't overkill.

It's carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating, which gives it solid corrosion resistance without being overbuilt for everyday use. The 1-inch MPT male end connects to a -16 hose dash size, so as long as your system matches up on those specs, you're in good shape.
