WeatherGRIP Z series hose end

Description & Features

Designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic applications, the WeatherGRIP Z Series hose end is a carbon steel fitting assembly suited for systems where reliable hose termination is required. Where shock hazards are present, Eaton Weatherhead recommends using H277 or H435 fittings instead.

This -20 dash size fitting features a male pipe thread (MPT) end on one side and a line/hose/tube connection on the other. Dura-Kote plating provides strong corrosion resistance, while the system-engineered design is intended to extend hose assembly service life and support consistent uptime. The fitting meets SAE J1176 certification standards.

Got a -20 dash size line I need to terminate with a male pipe thread end. This the right fitting for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 11, 2025, 8:23 PM
For a -20 hose paired with an MPT connection, yes, that's exactly what this fitting covers. One end is male pipe thread, the other handles the line/hose/tube side. It's carbon steel with Dura-Kote plating, so corrosion resistance is solid for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic work. Just keep in mind that if your system sees shock hazards, Eaton Weatherhead points you toward the H277 or H435 series instead of this one.
