trying to replace a 24Z-624, is this the same Weatherhead hose end or am I lookin at the wrong one

Match it up by part number. This item is the Eaton Weatherhead hose end with supplier part number 24Z-624 (SKU IG24Z-624), built as an R2 MM hose end with a JIC 37 degree female swivel.
Question by: Dean W on Jan 18, 2026, 4:45 PM
fitting says it works with H277 or H435 hose where shock hazards exist -- does that mean it ain't rated for other hoses in those same conditions, or is that just a recommendation?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 20, 2026, 10:25 AM
The shock hazard callout is specific to H277 and H435 hoses. For general low and medium pressure hydraulic work without shock concerns, this fitting covers a broader range of R2 hose applications. When shock loads are part of the picture, pairing it with one of those two hose types is what the engineering behind this assembly was built around. Staying within that guidance keeps the assembly performing the way it was intended.
