Designed for general purpose low and medium pressure hydraulic systems, this carbon steel JIC 37° female swivel fitting is part of the Boston Weatherhead Z Series crimp hose fitting line. It accommodates a -32 hose dash size and features a 2.875 hex, making it suited for larger hose assemblies in industrial hydraulic circuits. Where shock hazards are a concern, H277 or H435 hose assemblies are recommended in place of this fitting.

The BOSTON Weatherhead Hose End is finished with Dura-Kote plating, which provides solid corrosion resistance in demanding environments. Its system-engineered construction is intended to extend hose assembly service life and support consistent uptime. Certified to SAE J1176, this fitting is built to recognized industry standards for hydraulic hose end fittings.

If I'm dealing with a situation where there could be some shock, would this fitting still be okay, or do I need somethin' different?

For shock-prone situations, it's best to use the H277 or H435 hose assemblies instead of this fitting. Those are specifically recommended when you've got potential shock hazards.
