Description & Features

Constructed from brass with Dura-Kote plating for corrosion resistance, this SAE 45° flare male to NPTF male straight adapter is rated for use across a broad range of industrial and fluid power applications, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, refrigeration, power steering, instrumentation, and LP and natural gas service. The male SAE 45° flare end on one side connects to a ½" NPTF male thread on the other, making it a practical solution for joining dissimilar connection types within a single inline fitting.

The Danfoss / Eaton Coupling meets MS, ASA, SAE 010102, and ASME certifications, and is designed to operate at pressures above standard SAE requirements. A minimum working temperature rating of -65°F supports use in cold-environment and refrigeration service. Brass construction suits compatibility with a wide range of fluid media across these application categories.

Is this fitting okay for hooking up natural gas lines?

This Danfoss/Eaton coupling is indeed suitable for LP and natural gas applications, and it's also good for handling flammable liquids, but that's a special order item. It's also rated for refrigeration, power steering, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
