WEATHERHEAD H430 Hydraulic Hose. 100R12

Description & Features

The Eaton Weatherhead H430 hydraulic hose is constructed with a synthetic rubber tube and cover, and reinforced with 4 spiral plies. This hose is designed for hydraulic systems using petroleum- and water-based fluids in general industrial applications.

The WEATHERHEAD H430 Hydraulic Hose. 100R12 features premium abrasion resistance, an embossed lay line style, and is system engineered to extend hose assembly life. It is compliant with USCG, MSHA, DNV, and ABS standards and certified to EN856 4SP, EN856 Type R12, and SAE 100R12.

This -16 sized hose has a 5.91-inch minimum bend radius and can withstand temperatures as low as -40 degrees. It has an impulse cycle life of 500,000 cycles.

got a tight spot to route hose. what’s the minimum bend radius on the -16 H430?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 13, 2025, 8:38 AM
For the -16 size, the minimum bend radius is 5.91 inches, so you will want to keep your routing at or above that to avoid over-bending the hose.

Can this hose handle hydraulic fluid in a regular ol' industrial setup?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 13, 2026, 7:04 AM
Application-wise, it's made for hydraulic systems running both petroleum and water-based fluids, just like you'd find in general industrial use.
Question by: Randy L on Jan 9, 2026, 9:35 AM
four spiral plies on this one, does that mean it can handle the higher pressure demands you'd run into in heavy industrial hydraulic setups?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 11, 2026, 8:14 AM
Four-spiral construction is built for exactly that kind of work. The H430 is rated to SAE 100R12 and certified to EN856 4SP and EN856 Type R12, which are specifications tied to high-pressure hydraulic service. The robust reinforcement is what lets it hold up under the kind of sustained pressure loads you see in general industrial hydraulic systems running petroleum or water-based fluids.
